Lemon Tree Estates is based in the heart of the Axarquia, between the mountains of the Sierra Tejeda and the lake at La Viñuela.

The area is fundamentally Spanish, despite a steady influx of cosmopolitans settling in the region. Local schooling is very good but for those who would prefer to continue with the English curriculum there are several international schools in the area. Health care in Spain is excellent with a wide range of hospitals and health care centres, both public and private.

The Axarquia is within easy reach of 2 international airports, and is perfectlñy situated for those who wish to see more of Southern Spain. Beaches and water sports are 30 minutes away, and the Sierra Nevada, with its popular ski slopes only an hour and a half away.
